About Mrs. Osteen:
I teach eighth grade Pre-AP English and writing at Harmony School of Innovation Garland. I also serve as the school's librarian. This is my third year teaching eighth grade at Harmony. My previous experience includes my student teaching at Brown Middle School in Forney, TX, and over a year of substitute teaching.
I am certified in English Language Arts and Reading 4-12. I also have my certification for English as a Second Language (ESL). I have completed both the Texas Education Agency Gifted and Talented (GT) 30 hour training, and the AP Summer Institute for Middle School English.
I received my Bachelor's in English Literature from Arizona State University. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Library Science from the University of North Texas.
In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my 1-year-old son Elijah.
