Third Quarter

 

Wow! This school year as flown by.  We are already halfway through the year and there are a lot of things to look forward to this Spring. 

 

The 8th grade STAAR Reading test in March 31st, which is much closer than it sounds.  Students do have to pass the reading test to be promoted to high school. 

 

This quarter we will be focusing on nonfiction writing including personal narrative and persuasive text.  In ELA classes, we will be reading and analzying examples, and in writing classes we will write our own.  We will also begin review objectives taught last semester that will be on the STAAR test in both classes.
